About Me
I am a Registered Social Service Worker with over 10 years of experience in the healthcare field in various roles, with a strong focus on supporting children, youth, and families facing complex emotional, behavioral, and health challenges. My p background spans hospice care, pediatric hospital unit, and emergency department and long term care home where I’ve provided crisis intervention, therapeutic support, personal support and advocacy for vulnerable populations.
In addition to my experience, I was for over 7 years a dedicated foster parent to three teenagers living with diverse mental health needs. This personal journey has deepened my understanding of trauma-informed care and reinforced my commitment to creating safe, inclusive spaces for youth to heal, grow, and thrive.
My areas of specialization include anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders (lived), behavioural challenges, and youth mental health. I have developed and implemented targeted programs such as anger awareness workshops and healthy relationship curriculums for children and adolescents.
I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapeutic Modalities, and Non-Crisis Intervention. My approach is strengths-based, client-centered, and grounded practices tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
Throughout my career, I have been honored with multiple humanitarian awards and graduated with Presidential Honor Diploma. I have also devoted decades to charitable initiatives aimed at supporting marginalized and at-risk populations which has given me first hand experience in navigating complex needs of our community members.
Languages Spoken
I provide therapy in both English and Polish, and I welcome clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
