About Me

I am a Registered Social Service Worker with over 10 years of experience supporting children, youth, and families through some of life’s most challenging moments. My work in hospice care, paediatric hospital unit, emergency departments, and long-term care settings has given me a deep appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit and the importance of compassionate, steady support.

Alongside my professional roles, I spent more than seven years as a foster parent and kinship caregiver, caring for both teenagers and younger children with diverse mental health and developmental needs. These years were some of the most meaningful of my life. They taught me patience, empathy, and what it truly means to create a safe and nurturing space for young people to grow, heal, and simply be themselves. This personal experience continues to guide my practice every day.

My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorders (including lived experience), behavioural challenges, and overall youth mental health. I have developed and facilitated programs such as anger awareness workshops and healthy relationship curricula for children and adolescents—always with the goal of helping them feel understood, supported, and empowered.

In my work, I use a blend of CBT modalities, SF modalities, DBT modalities and Non-Crisis Intervention strategies. My style is warm, collaborative, and client-centered, grounded in the belief that every individual has strengths worth celebrating and a story worth honouring.

Over the years, I have been humbled to receive several humanitarian awards and to graduate with a Presidential Honour Diploma. My long-standing involvement in charitable and community initiatives has deepened my understanding of the challenges many families face, and it fuels my ongoing commitment to advocating for those who need it most.

At the heart of my work is a simple goal: to offer support that feels safe, human, and hopeful—no matter where someone is starting from.
